One of my dreams has come true: Coworking in a Shopping Mall. Exactly 2 years ago today, when the German department store chain „Karstadt“ (which has been saved since) had filed for bankruptcy, we had the same dream. Now in Vilnius (Lithuania) Hub Vilnius opened a coworking space in a shopping mall right in the center of town. Mindaugas Danys writes that the shopping mall lost clients so they decided to rent out some space for NGOs and the new coworking space. The pictures look very promising!!!
The reason for choosing ”Coworking in shooping mall Gedimino 9 in Vilnius” as “Project of the Week” for “Week 24″ in 2011: Coworking is now not only accepted as a new lifestyle, it has also entered the mainstream. When in June 2009, Coworking became the covergirl of No. 1 Italian newspaper “Corriere della Sera” (Cowo article English) for us this was still a little exotic. Now things have turned around and managers of shopping malls like the one in Vilnius see the potential and the lifestyle which comes with coworking. Coworking is not only trendy and productive, it can also pay the rent and attract new customers!!! Yeeha!!!
