Opened on the 2nd of May, Eureka Loft offers a new home for problem-solvers, social enterprises, entrepreneurs, and small businesses in Arizona.  It is set up by ASU Venture Catalyst, the startup unit of Arizona State University, along with the Scottsdale Public Library system.  This new free coworking space, is the first of many, in the so called Alexandria Network in Arizona, that will bring together innovators in collaboration / coworking spaces in designated community libraries.

Modelled after the ancient Library at Alexandria , the Alexandria Network is designed to help the modern library offer a similar kind of collaboration space  as the ancient Egyptians did with an emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship.

“This is the role of the library in a new economic, social, and learning landscape,” says Carol Damaso, Director of the Scottsdale Public Library.

We love this and are looking forward to add more and more spaces of this kind to the Free Coworking Directory.
