After International Coworking Day 2013 is before International Coworking Day 2014 ;-) Yes, I think it is always a good idea to reflect on what has happened this year to plan and enrich what can happen next year. I think sports and a lot of fun have been part of this International Coworking Day. I know for example that Coworking Space Dinamo10 in Portugal celebrated with a 1 day Table Tennis Tournament. There are also great fans of surfing (like another entry on the Free Coworking Map, The Surf Office) (see cowork and surf , surf thinking etc.).
I like to invite you on a journey that for many people might sound a little crazy, but just give it a go. It will only cost you 5 minutes and I guarantee you a laugh in the video below: Noise is extremely powerful. It is very difficult to ignore and it will even have an effect on you long after it stopped. At this time of the year leaf blowers could provide this sound for many of us. I guess many people will agree with me that they are a complete nuisance!!! (They are too noisy, present a considerable source of air pollution, produce dust clouds which contain potentially harmful substances, kill substantially more small animals, unnecessarily use fossil fuels etc. …) compared to a technology like a rake or broom.
This is something coworkers could do as well!!! The latest version of the Allgäu-Orient Rally 2013 was sold out in a little more than 2 minutes. 111 participants signed up in this short period to take part in this rally for a good cause. The rules: You can take part in a car that costs less than 1111 Euros, or is older than 20 years. Starting in the south of Germany, the participants will drive to Amman in Jordan, where they will leave their cars for a good cause. What a great idea!!! I think a rally like this would be wonderful for coworking as well. Anybody inspired?
